Accompanist: Brian Heald

Brian has been organist at Wesley Methodist Church, Chester since 1976. He studied piano and organ with Roger Fisher in Chester and holds performance diplomas in piano (ARCM) and organ (LRSM). 

 

A Pembroke College, Cambridge chemical engineering graduate, his career spanned 35 years in the chemical industry.

 

Brian appears regularly at lunchtime and other recitals on both piano and organ and has performed piano concertos by Mozart (K271, K466 and K488), Mendelssohn (No.2), Franck (Symphonic Variations), Schumann and Beethoven (Nos. 1 to 5) in Chester. As well as being accompanist for The Vale Royal Singers and a member of various chamber music ensembles, he performs in duos with his wife Claire (contralto), his pianist son Jeremy, cellist Lionel Clarke and trumpeter John Bush.
